Day 3,  Clear Brook vs. Clear Lake - Championship Game of the Gold Bracket in the 84th Carlisle-Krueger Classic Tournament.

This was expected to be a fiercely competitive game between two District 24-6A rivals for all the marbles and it did not disappoint. At the half Lake trailed by 5. In the third quarter Brook increased their lead to 10 before Lake narrowed the gap to 2. At the end of 3, Lake trailed by 6, 47-53. In the final period Brook's David Azore (#22,) continued to exert his prowess as the Wolverines took control of the game and closed it out. Lake shooting from behind the arc was poor hitting only 3 of 17 (18%). The final score was Brook 56- Lake 53. Lake's record is 4-4 going into next Tuesday's game at La Porte.

Day 3, Game 4 of the Carlisle-Krueger Classic Tournament - Clear Lake came up against Cy Falls High School, one of the strongest teams in the Greater Houston Area.  Lake played superb basketball and was victorious with a score of 69-64. Lake's record is 4-3.

Day 2, Game 3 of the Carlisle-Krueger Classic Tournament found Clear Lake facing off against district rival Clear Springs Friday evening. Lake played well, in fact, the Falcons played their best game this season (only 6 games played so far). Again it was an intense battle from the opening tipoff. Lake led by as much as 20 at one point and Lake defeated the Chargers 76-64. Ajare Sanni had 33pts; Jere Maldonado had 12; and Riley Abercrombie had 11.

The Falcons are now 3-3. Lake faces Cy Falls High School at 10:30 Saturday morning in Krueger Field House in the semifinals of the Gold bracket. In the 9am game Clear Brook will oppose Nimitz. Should be two great games.

Day 1, Game 1: Lake had an easy time defeating Milby 100-38. Top Lake scorers were Ajare Sanni 21, Jere Maldonado 17, Riley Abercrombie 16, and Max Woerner 12. All Lake players scored except 1.

Day 1, Game 2: Clear Lake 60 - San Antonio Brennan 56. An intense game from the tipoff. A very competitive, close game with Lake maintaining a very small lead throughout the game until halfway through the final quarter. Could have gone either way. Ajare Sanni led all scorers with 24. Jere Maldonado and Zaid Harris each had 10.

The oldest boys basketball tournament in Texas has increased the number of teams to 24 this year. Dates are Dec 1-3, 2016.

2016 brackets are below. Lake has games at 10:30 am and 3:30pm.
