The Falcons looked ready in their opening scrimmage at Elkins on Tuesday, Nov 11, Veterans Day. They still have some things to work on as expected this early but their defense was noticeably tenacious and their overall passing was better than usual for the start of the season. They competed against Elkins, Cinco Ranch, and Dobie. Dan Rieke sustained what is hopefully a slight knee injury to his left knee. The Falcons next scrimmage is at home on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 9 a.m.

We wish Coach Bosley the very best in his new assignment and throughout his career. He is a very fine person and an outstanding influence on young people.

The preseason rankings for Texas 5A teams has Clear Lake ranked at # 11 in the state by Texas Hoops! (The TABC rankings place Clear Lake in the #9 position). Milby starts the season in the number 1 spot in both rankings. Clear Lake is slated to face two top twenty teams: Milby(#1) and Kingwood(#12)in pre-district play and two other top twenty 5A teams are scheduled to play in the Fort Worth Tournament as well as Fort Worth Dunbar whose 4A preliminary ranking is #1.
