The West Monroe starters only got one full quarter of action tonight, but that was all they needed!
The score at the end of the 1st qt 35-0. The Rebels scored 2 more times in the 2nd qt making it 49-0
at the Half. West Monroe scored early and often! Steven Jones scored on a 35 yard run to make it 7-0
after Zach Alexanders kick for a PAT.
Steven scored again on a 26 yard run and the PAT made it 14-0.
The next score came on a 10 yard pass from Michael Mims to Nick Sanders and the PAT made it 21-0 with
about only a few minutes left in the 1st.
Note: The Rebels scored 5 TD's in the Time of Possession 6:46 in the 1st qt.
That's a TD every 1:29!
Jim Bennett then scored on a 39 yard run and the PAT it was 28-0.
Xavier Woods then picked off a pass and raced about 40 yards and the PAT made it 35-0 in the 1st.
In the 2nd qt, Devonte Williams scored from a yard out and the PAT made it 42-0.
Devonte then raced 87 yards for his 2nd TD and the PAT made it 49-0.
West Monroe played just about everyone on the roster!
The DeFense held Carroll to 57 yards rushing on the night and 118 through the air. Most of this coming
after the starters had came out.

The tale of 2 halfs! West Monroe totally dominated Bastrop in the 1st half. West Monroe's DeFense held
Bastrop to one 1st down in the first half. Steven Jones had 2 TD's and Michael Mims had 1 TD.
That was all of the scoring for West Monroe on the night as the score was 20-0 at the half.
Our DeFense only gave up 1 TD to a team that was averaging 45 points per game. Not bad!
Bastrop's QB was averaging over 300 yards of offense per game and we held him to less than 200.
The Rebels only had the ball 2 possessions the entire 2nd half. The TOP in the 3rd qt for
the Rebels was 1:58. It was not better in the 4th, but the Rebels hold on for the win!
Like Coach Arledge has always said, you can't do better than win!
