JV concluded another remarkable season with a 2-0 win over Grossmont, and a season record of 21-2-2! Coach Tom Noakes in his tenth year as the JV coach, with Assistants Herk Alcarez and Program Coach Stacy Brown always near by, had a truly amazing year topped off by winning the 2010 Barons and Vaqueros Tournaments! Great job Coach Tom, Herk, Stacy and our awesome JV players. Special shout outs to Varsity callups during the season: Jessica Warner, Isabella Alcarez, Sierra Nager, Natalie Cook and for the CIF playoffs: Sierrah Aggasid, Samantha Lucas, and Leanna Boes!

In the worst of weather conditions, with rain so hard and wind gusts upwards of 30 miles per hour, the Freshman survived the brutal conditions winning 1-0 over Otay Ranch on a beautiful goal by Madison Day-Robinson in the 22nd Minute. Brittney Fitch recorded the shutout, led by the tremendous defense of Ebony Squire, Megan Boelter, Krista Kaufman and Brenna Baehr! The Freshman Championship was the third in row for the Cougar Program!! Awesome job and a great season by Coaches Lisa Marlow, Dana Goss and our talented Freshman!!!!

With SDSU Women's Soccer Coach Mike Friesen in attendence, the #4 Cougars came out a little tight against Grossmont Hills Rival # 5 West Hills in a rematch of the 2010 D2 Championship and went into halftime 0-0. But with emotions high,  Senior Elle Reid delivered an inspirational speech to her teammates ending halftime, and the team responded quickly as player of the game Kiana Quarles scored 2 goals and led the Cougars to the win. Getting the shutout was Sophomore Melora Lawson and Freshman Jessica Warner, backed by the tremendous defense of Seniors Elyse Bobczynski, Brittney Beam, Tianah Schrock, and Juniors Tayler Shakowski and Brenda Decrescente! The Cougars now advance to the Semi-Finals against #1 Westview at Westview High School on Wednesday!

Focused and determined, the Cougars would not be denied on this day!
