With SDSU Women's Soccer Coach Mike Friesen in attendence, the #4 Cougars came out a little tight against Grossmont Hills Rival # 5 West Hills in a rematch of the 2010 D2 Championship and went into halftime 0-0. But with emotions high,  Senior Elle Reid delivered an inspirational speech to her teammates ending halftime, and the team responded quickly as player of the game Kiana Quarles scored 2 goals and led the Cougars to the win. Getting the shutout was Sophomore Melora Lawson and Freshman Jessica Warner, backed by the tremendous defense of Seniors Elyse Bobczynski, Brittney Beam, Tianah Schrock, and Juniors Tayler Shakowski and Brenda Decrescente! The Cougars now advance to the Semi-Finals against #1 Westview at Westview High School on Wednesday!

Focused and determined, the Cougars would not be denied on this day!
