Charlie Cleaves to Coach Cougar Girls!!

After a successful 2000-2001 coaching the Steele Canyon Boys Soccer Team, Coach Charlie Cleaves will take over the Girls Program. Coach Cleaves has over 20 years coaching experience. He began playing the game when he was five years old living in Italy, and still plays regularly. He holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "B" License, and is a member of the USSF Coaches Organization. On the club level, Charlie is Vice-President of the East County Soccer Alliance Soccer Club and Head Coach/Trainer of East County Soccer Alliance Girls U-14 Premier; one of the top teams in Southern California. As a long time East County resident, having graduated from Kearny High School, San Diego Mesa College, and San Diego State University, Charlie believes the kids of Steele Canyon deserve the best coaching, the best fields, and a positive environment to not only grow as soccer players, but as young adults.
