Senior captains Brandon Munce and Amy Wilson led the way as the Bucs survived a brutally hot day on the hills of Brandywine Creek at the Salesianum Invitational Saturday.

Jeremy Morgan, Andrew Eshelman, Shane Feightner, Gerald Legros, Muneer Aziz and Janssen Pacarro rounded out the boys varsity, while Lydia Cole, Taylor Hoey, Holly Tesoro, Mia Fabres-Parker, Natalia Hernandez and Molly Fulton led the girls.

CAPTAINS SET TRAIL BLAZING AT TIDEWATER

Senior captains Amy Wilson (21:12, 10th overall) & Lydia Cole (21:30, 14th) each scored medals, helping the girls' team to a 4th place finish out of 27 teams Wednesday at the Tidewater Classic in Salisbury, Md.

For the boys, Andrew Eshelman ran a new best of 17:47 & Brandon Munce followed with a 17:58 for top 25 finishes, leading the boys to a 12th place overall. Shane Feightner, Muneer Aziz and Mitch Yoka added season-bests, while Janssen Pacarro & Enoch Lee scored career times.

For the girls, Nia Bowe, Sabryna Nosher & Cynthia Wingler scored career-bests!

GIRLS SURVIVE CRAZY RACE DAY TO MOVE TO 5-0

Janin Rodriguez, Amy Wilson and Lydia Cole each ran in the 21s, Taylor Hoey and Holly Tesoro followed with career-bests, and Natalia Hernandez broke a 28-28 tie as the team's No. 6 runner helping the girls top Dover and Polytech Monday to improve to 5-0 on the season.

Meanwhile, the boys lost a pair of very close contests, despite new career-bests by Brandon Munce (17:47) and Andrew Eshelman (17:48) who finished 1-2 overall. Jeremy Morgan busted into the 18s for the first time this season, while Gerald Legros and Tommy Jordan finished with career-bests to round out the top 5. Dustin Reeder and Muneer Aziz scored bests for the varsity.

Janssen Pacarro, Dylan Schleigh, Enoch Lee, Gavin Newcomb, Sean Hinton Nick Hart, Sean Hinton, Jared Maule, Esther Lee, Cherub Rust and Sabryna Nosher added big career-best improvements, while Mia Fabres-Parker rounded out the girls varsity with a new season-best.

BUCS MOVE TO 3-0 WITH 1-2-3 SWEEP OF LAKE

The boys & girls each scored 1-2-3 sweeps en route to strong wins over Lake Forest at Killens on Wednesday. The boys won, 21-38, while girls won, 19-37.

Andrew Eshelman & Brandon Munce ran season-bests to lead the boys, while Amy Wilson & Lydia Cole ran their way onto the Bloom Top 10 senior list to lead the girls. Jeremy Morgan, Gerald Legros, Tommy Jordan, Clayton Snead & Dustin Reeder rounded out the boys top 7, while Janin Rodriguez, Taylor Hoey, Holly Nechay, Natalia Hernandez & Mia Fabres-Parker had great days for the girls varsity. Both Hoey and Nechay busted out career-best times!

Dylan Schleigh, Saathi Shah, Gavin Newcomb, Nick Hart, Jacques Cambronne, Sabryna Nosher, Wendy Alcantara and Nia Bowe also added career-best performances.

BUCS SCORE BESTS AT WHITE CLAY CREEK

Senior captains Brandon Munce & Amy Wilson each led the way with White Clay best times, helping the MHSCCers to a strong day at the White Clay Creek Classic Friday. In all, 29 Bucs ran their fastest ever at White Clay.

Alex Creasey, Dustin Reeder, Gerald Legros, Enoch Lee, Sean Hinton, Nick Hart, Holly Nechay, Esther Lee, Wendy Alcantara, Sabryna Nosher and Hannah Knechel ran career-best times, while sophomore Zach Legg scored his first varsity finish.

Wilson and Hinton scored Trailblazer of the Week honors for their efforts last week!
