Shelbyville Lady Golden Bears ended it's season with a 63-37 defeat to No.16 Mooresville in the second semi-final game at Bedford North-Lawrence Regional Saturday afternoon. The 26 point defeat is biggest the lady bears have suffered.The Bears only had 5 players to score led by the19 points by Haley Wise,9 points by Gwen Haehl,5points by Gretchen Haehl,and 2points apiece byLeeAnn Douglas & Katie Jackson. The Lady Bears Finish the season at 18-5. Note: Gretchen Haehl finish her carrer with 1,418 points surpassing the old record set by Brenda Kelsay-Simmons of 1,375 set in 1981. Congradulations go out to Gretchen Haehl!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lady Golden Bears Improve their record to 18-4 after defeating #8 Bloomington North Cougers 49-42. To capture the Columbus North sectional Saturday Night. The Bears were leds in scoring by Gretchen Haehl,18 Gwen Haehl,10 Katie Jackson and Haley Wise with 6 apiece Lee Ann Douglas,5 and Dana Gardner and Christy Sammons with 2 apiece. notes: Gretchen Haehl all time scoring record now stands at 1,413 Next up for the Lady Golden Bears is the regionals Saturday Feb.21th at Bedford-North Lawrence. The Golden Bears play in the second game against Mooresville at 12:30 PM. The first game features Jeffersonville vs. Castle at 10:00AM.Pack the gymnausium at Bedford-North Lawrence on Saturday to support the lady golden bears as they continue thier quest for a state basketball championship.....

Columbus---The shelbyville girls'basketball team advanced to the Columbus North sectional championship game with a 59-47 win over Columbus East Friday....
The Lady Golden Bears advanced To the Sectional Championship Game Against 8th ranked Bloomington North Cougars, With a win over the Columbus East Olympians 59-47 in the second semi-final game at Columbus North Friday night. The bears were led in scoring by Gretchen Haehl,18 Katie Jackson And Haley Wise with 10 a apiece Dana Gardner,8 Gwen Haehl,6 LeeAnn Douglas,5 and Christy Sammons,2. Note:This is the 4th year in a row The Lady Golden Bears are playing in the sectional championship game.
