The 2010 Jaguars Varsity Finish Second

Posted by Dave Rea on Nov 07 2010 at 04:00PM PST
The defending Varsity Champion Jaguars brought their 7-2 record into the Championship Game against the Jets on Saturday night November 6th, 2010 and came up short by a touchdown. The Jets defeated the Jaguars for the 3rd time this season as they won the Varsity Division Championship game 19-14 and sent the Jaguars home as they Runner Up. It was a back forth game until late in the 3rd quarter when the Jets went up 19-6. Then Trevor Thome hit Blake Brumfield with a beautifully thrown pass to pull the Jags within 19-12. The two point conversion was good and the Jags trailed 19-14. That's the way it would end as the Jets got the ball back with less than 3 minutes to go and rode it out on the ground.

The Jags finish the year at 7-3 and had another great season. They have gone to the Championship game 3 times in a row and are 30-4 over the last 3 seasons. Congratulations to all the Players, Coaches, Cheerleaders and parents on another fine season of Jaguar Football! Go Jags!!
