Posted by Dave Rea at Apr 23, 2005 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Congratulations go out to Devon Cunningham for being awarded the Annual JV Jets Coach's Award at the Awards Night in November. This award is given to the player who exhibits the most effort, dedication, pride, and a positive football attitude all season long, day in and day out.

The player is selected by the coaches, and doesn't necessarily reflect the team's MVP. It is awarded for the above mentioned qualities both on the practice field and during games.

Update: Devon moved to the Cloverleaf school district and has been playing for the Colts in high school. In the 2012 season opener at Buckeye as a junior and playing against some of his old Jets teammates he gained 185 yards with two touchdowns and had an INT for a third touchdown. He finished the 2012 season with 5 interceptions and 48 tackles. On the offensive side he set school records with 1,227 rushing, 22 touchdowns and 132 points as a running back/kick returner. Devon caught 40 passes for 525 yards and averaged 38.5 yards per punt. He was named to the Division II All Ohio third team as a defensive back. Even wearing that Colts green and white we are still proud of you Devon!
