Nationals Sweep Rajun Cajuns

The Nationals jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in route to a 20-1 victory over the Cajuns Sunday nite at Zirkel Field. Mike Czarnecki hit a triple and homer for 3 RBI and Mark Van Hart added 3 RBI of his own as the team improved to 6-0. The team continued its success in game two, prevailing by a score of 9-5. Brian Gibson and Mark Van Hart led the way with two hits each and Nick Kibler picked up his third win of the year. For complete stats please see appropriate page on this site.
The Nationals' offense broke loose for 26 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Jo-Cats Pub, prevailing by scores of 15-5 and 11-0. The team now stands at 5-0 in league play and 8-1 overall. Mike Czarnecki led the way in game 1 with 5 hits and 2 RBI, while Mark Van Hart added 2 hits and 4 RBI. Tim Spata and Nick Kibler combined on a shutout in game 2. The Nationals cruised from the start, scoring 7 runs in the first inning to break the game open. Joe Reisinger led team with three hits, including 2 triples, and 4 RBI. Chief John C. Butorac Memorial Golf Outing

All players, families, and friends are invited to participate in this second annual event. Established in 2000, this event honors the memory of Andy and Wes' father while raising money for youth and adult recreation programs in West Allis. Contact Andy Butorac for more information.

Nationals Sign Infielder

The West Allis Nationals announced Wednesday the signing of Chris Kaebisch. Chris is a four time all conference shortstop from Germantown High School. This past season, Chris redshirted at Stevens Point. He will play for Whitewater next season. To create space for Chris, the Nationals announced the retirement of Jerry Schmidt.
