The West Allis Nationals announced today that the team has come to terms with two veteran Minor South Division players. Mike Wajerski-SS and Tony Klappa-1B,RP will join the club to fill voids created by the expected departure of a couple of veteran players. Wajerski and Klappa both gained fame as members of the McGuire's franchise during the nineties. The franchise folded following the 2000 season. Last season each played in the Minor North-Klappa with the champion Dodgers and Wajerski with Sammy's/Sluggo's. Both Klappa and Wajerski were key members of the 1999 McGuire's squad that lost to Luke's Cubs in the County Championship. Klappa hit .409 while Wajerski hit .333 with 20 runs and 15RBI from the leadoff spot.
Displaying his talents on the gridiron, our favorite White Sox killer contributed to yet another title for the Saz's dynasty. Chris Marks' 71-yard touchdown catch led his team to a playoff semi-final victory and his pass protection skills ensured a 6th consecutive title for his touch football team. Congrats to our multi-dimensional champion!

James Herkowski and Brian Gibson have accepted positions with West Allis' finest this reporter has learned. Herkowski is expected to start fighting crime in West Allis on November 19, 2001. Actually, James says he expects to do as little crime fighting as possible initially. "I'm going to investigate the good pastry parlors before I go and get my hands dirty." Gibson is on the waiting list, and could not be reached for comment. Given their new positions and wealth, teammates can expect the Cadillac to be filled with fine meats and cheeses for the post-game spread. image

The brain wizards of the Milwaukee County Parks Department received a complaint from a McCarty Park parks employee on Wednesday August 15, 2001. The complaint states that "those #$%holes pissed all over the brand new bases!" This writer was unable to give the wizards the names of the violators as they had requested. He apologized to the league and the park for said actions and assumed responsibility for the conduct of his team. The wizards are taking name(s.) It makes it easier for them if they can target an actual person/people for suspensions. We will discuss this matter further at our winter meeting. Rock on. Three Peat.
