The 2003 Nationals face a stiff challenge in what should become an annual event. This year's squad will open its season with an exhibition game against a team of ex-players, boosters, retirees, old timers, or just plain crusty and dusty has-beens. This year's Hall of Fame induction ceremony will follow the game. The game will be played May 3 at Zirkel Field. First pitch is 2PM Committed has-beens include, Dave Kuhnke, Andy Butorac, Steve Hluchnik, Gary Meyer, Dave Glaser, Mark Sura, Steve Elliott, Jeff Neibauer, Brad Sterling, Andy Tocco, Robert Kleinschmidt, Lance Longhenry, Dax Rodriguez, Paul Repischak... While today's youth train in the batting cages at Central High, the Old Timers will be conserving energy. (Veteran saavy) Pre game for the Old Timers will start at 7PM on Friday May 2 at Sir Gregory's Pub. Those interested in participating are encouraged to contact Steve Elliott at nationals25@hotmail.com or 414-305-2104
