Nats down Giants on Walkoff by Huntzy

A walk-off single led West Allis Nationals past Oshkosh Giants 11-10 on Thursday. The game was tied at ten with West Allis Nationals batting in the bottom of the seventh when Brian Huntzinger singled off of Covey, driving in one run. Despite falling down by five runs in the sixth inning, Oshkosh Giants tried to fight back. Oshkosh Giants scored five runs in the failed comeback on a walk by Covey and a grand slam by Luke Gajewski. Oshkosh Giants captured the lead in the first inning. Mike Ross singled on a 0-2 count in the first inning, scoring one run. West Allis Nationals scored four runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was thanks to a fielder's choice by Chase Scharnek, a passed ball , and a double by Adam Karas. Kanyon Fellers earned the win for West Allis Nationals. He went one inning, giving up five runs, one hit, and striking out three. Covey took the loss for Oshkosh Giants. He tossed one and one-third innings, giving up two runs, and two hits. Cal Krafcheck started the game for West Allis Nationals. He went three innings, surrendering two runs, four hits, and striking out two. Austin Halverson started the game for Oshkosh Giants. He tossed three innings, allowing five runs, and four hits. West Allis Nationals collected ten hits. Brian Huntzinger, Johnny Keane, and Garrett Gilbert each collected multiple hits for West Allis Nationals. Huntzinger and Nick Erd each drove in two runs to lead West Allis Nationals. Oshkosh Giants had nine hits in the game. Gajewski, Kellen Shea, and Mitch Peterson each collected multiple hits for Oshkosh Giants.
