How do I sell my gear at the SWAP?

In 2015 we introduced an online consignment system. Consignors can start by creating an account and add items as you come across them in your home – this will help speed up your drop-off time.

Don’t want to consign ahead of time – don’t worry! We can help you out when you bring your items Friday.

Online Consignment Instructions: (please note, you can use the same account as last year)
Go to FLASH-CONSIGN

Create an account. You will be required to login to your account on consignment day so bring your login information with you.

• Read and accept the Sellers Agreement
• Add items you would like to consign. Price your items reasonably so they will sell.
• Print your Item Summary
• Print and cut your tags
• Adhere tags to your items
• BRING your: Item Summary, Login Info and Used Items with attached tags for consignment from 10am-8pm Friday

Cost is $2 per item (Cash, Debit & Credit Cards accepted at time of drop-off)

Dear Big White Ski Club Families,

BC Alpine hosted their Annual General Meeting in Kelowna September 30 and October1 – as usual it was a very informative and inspirational meeting. We heard from guest speakers on various subject matter, met in small groups to discuss various topics ranging from how to host a better race to fund raising for your club. I would like to suggest if you have time in your schedule next year you should plan on attending the meeting.

The highlight of the meeting is Saturday night when the Goldie Awards are presented recognizing volunteers, coaches and clubs for the extraordinary work that was done throughout the year.
We are very proud to say that two members of our club were recognized at the highest level by BC Alpine.

Jan Jenkins was awarded the Volunteer of the Year for our zone. Jan spent countless hours running our race office last season, when you host 4 races in a season the amount of time and effort that goes into coordinating these events is substantial. Jan took the challenge on and did a tremendous job organizing all aspects of the race office which allowed us to run very efficient races. Jan’s work has been recognized by other clubs as she is often used as a resource by them. Congratulations Jan and thank you for all of your hard work and dedication not only to our club but to the ski community. The picture (right) shows Jan receiving the Volunteer of the Year award from BC Alpine’s General Manager Anders Hestdalen and Media Director Kathy Stahr.

Our U16 coach, Wade Christie was also recognized at the AGM, this being for his coaching excellence, the award presented to Wade was the Learn to Train/Train to Train which is awarded to the coach who shows excellence in developing athletes according to the Alpine Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development program. Wade has successfully trained athletes of all ages for many years and is recognized by both BC Alpine and his peers for his expertise and knowledge related to training young athletes. As a club we are blessed and thankful for having Wade as one of our coaches. We regularly hear from current athletes and alumni that Wade was a fantastic coach and helped them grow, not only as a ski racer but as a person.
