The Seventh Grade Boys Basketball Team put forth a tremendous effort this season and finished with a respectable 5-6 record. The team was greatly improved from last year and welcomed new players CJ D. and Joel C. to the team. The Vikings worked tirelessly in practice with the goal of getting better everyday. With a strong work ethic and determination we started to play together as a team and as a result came away with several impressive victories. A thrilling overtime home victory over River Oaks Baptist with several highlight reel plays was one particularly memorable moment. Each tough loss that we suffered helped was seen as a chance to learn from mistakes and also understand what it takes to reach the next level. Regardless of the final outcome in any game, the team could always hold their heads high because they gave their maximum effort and represented The Village School proudly.
