Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

What a great night of lacrosse last night….wet, muddy, chilly. Perfect conditions, lol. I just wanted to let everyone know that pictures from last night’s games have been uploaded to our team’s Facebook page for your enjoyment.

I would like to personally thank Mr. Mike Scott for taking them. This is his 10th year doing this for us, and his pictures have been giving us lasting memories for a long time. Thanks, Mike!

Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

I just had a parent asking about team feedings, and how we can do them. For those of you who are new to the team, these feedings are the girl’s favorite thing about the lax season. But since we are in the middle of a pandemic, we cannot send players into people’s homes, nor can we serve them food buffet-style. So, here’s what we can do:

- I have asked for permission from LSW to use the commons for team feedings. I have been told that we can use the commons, but it’s subject to availability. I have requested the Monday and Wednesday after Spring Break to start…let’s see what they say.

- If the weather is nice enough, we can distribute the meals in the parking lot right after practice. I believe the players would be just as happy eating off of the trunk of their cars, sitting in the parking lot, etc…

- Any meals given to the players will need to be individually wrapped. And drinks will need to be in single-use bottles/cans. Nothing buffet-style like open boxes of pizza or open containers of pasta.

If we can meet these criteria, we can do the feedings. I have a volunteer for the 5 APRIL slot already if we can use the commons that night or if the weather is good enough for outdoor eating. If you are willing to participate, please reach out to me. You can do it alone, or share the costs with another set(s) of parents.

Here are the dates (all subject to the availability of the commons and/or good weather):

- 5 APRIL = Shelton’s have this one. Commons is available. Can do outdoor weather permitting.
- 7 APRIL = Confirmed that the commons is NOT available. This will need to be an outdoor feeding (weather permitting)
- 12 APRIL
- 14 APRIL
- 20 APRIL
- 26 APRIL
- 28 APRIL
- 6 MAY

So, if you volunteer for a feeding, please make sure we can confirm the commons are available or if the weather is good enough to eat out in the parking lot before you spend any time/money on the food.

Lady Titan LAX Family,

It’s finally here! The first week of games…for many of you (including those who joined last year), this will be your first real game vs another school. What an exciting time for our players!

So, let’s talk about what’s on the schedule for this week. I will say that the forecast is calling for rain starting tonight, so we’ll have to continue to be flexible when it comes to practice times and locations, whether we’ll play the games or they get postponed, etc…I appreciate everyone’s willingness to “roll with the punches” with us…it’s one of the curses of being a Spring sport.

Here’s our schedule for this week:

Monday 22 MARCH 5pm – 7pm = Practice outdoors on our practice field. We will make every effort to get the entire practice in before the rain comes in. I’ll be watching the radar and the horizon and will call for the end of practice early if needed.

Tuesday 23 MARCH= Our first game vs Blue Valley at LS West Sod Stadium. J*V Game at 5:30pm* (be there at 4:45 for warm ups) and Varsity at 7pm (be there at 6:15 for warm ups) . All players and parents will need to park in the school parking lot like you were going to watch a football game and make the walk to the stadium. We will be playing on the sod stadium behind the football stadium. There should be no more than 2 spectators per player in the stands, and all spectators will need to wear a mask at all times.

Wednesday 24 MARCH 5pm – 7pm = Practice. We will most likely need to go into the aux gym due to weather, so these times may change depending on what time block we will be given for the gym.

Thursday 25 MARCH = Game #2 vs LS North at LS North Sod Stadium. I have attached a map of the LS North complex for those of you who have never been there before. The game times are the same as Tuesday night’s games, so JV at 5:30pm, Varsity at 7:00pm. Also, 2 spectators per player, everyone wears a mask.

Friday 26 MARCH = No practice

That’s the schedule for the week. I am truly excited to get this season started. I tell the players all the time that once we start this season, it becomes a total grind until the middle of May. We will be working 4 days a week once we get back from Spring Break, but it’s so worth it…let’s have a great season!

Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

Sorry for the late notice, but the coaching staff had a discussion and came up with the idea of having an outdoor practice this Sunday afternoon from 4pm – 6pm on the LSW Turf Field.

I know this is out of the norm, but we have been indoors all week, and there are things we need to work on that really require us to be outdoors, and with our first game coming up this upcoming Tuesday, the coaching staff felt that we needed at least an extra practice to be better prepared.

Please mark your calendars for this Sunday at 4pm.
