We are going to try to do a parent relay after the meet tonight! It’s tons of fun, and your skill level doesn’t matter at all. All of your swimmers enjoy being able to watch their parents swim. PLEASE BRING YOUR SWIMSUITS TONIGHT!!!!

We are now entering the home stretch of the swim season for the year!

Tuesday 7/11:

• Meet starts at 6:00
• Against Bent Tree/Spyglass
• At the Westwood Farms Pool
• Please have your swimmers arrive at 4:45pm, as our warmup will begin at 5pm.
• The theme for the meet is Hawaiian, and I encourage everyone to participate
• This is our final dual meet of the year!

Meet Attendance Form

Please fill out this form, if you haven’t already. Coach Ryley and I will be doing the lineup tomorrow night. If this form is not filled out, your swimmer will not be entered into the meet.

This week practice will be normal Monday through Thursday. On Friday, we will be practicing at the Strongsville Rec Center instead of Westwood Farms. We will share the time when we receive it from the Rec Center. This allows all of the swimmers to swim in the pool before their races on Saturday.

Saturday, July 15th is champs! For those new to the team, champs is where all of the teams in Strongsville compete against each other. This is a great opportunity for all of our swimmers and tons of fun! The meet begins at 9:30am, however we will warmup prior to that. We will communicate this week what time your swimmer needs to arrive and what time warm-ups will be later in the week. This is a longer meet, so I would recommend to send your swimmers with games to play with their friends while they wait for there events. Your swimmers will place their belongings in the event center, and will also wait there while they are not swimming. There will be a clerk of course and volunteers in the event center with all of the swimmers calling events down to the clerk of course. We will also have some coaches with the swimmers to help. We will send out the heat sheet prior to Saturday so you can make note of the events your kid(s) are swimming ahead of time. This meet typically last until 3pm. There will be concessions at the meet as well.

On Monday, July 17th, we are having our annual banquet. This is exciting for the swimmers as they will receive any medals or ribbons from champs, a special award from the coaches, and a trophy for all of their hardwork throughout the season. This is a great way to conclude our swim season. After the coaches give out the awards, all of the swimmers will have time to swim and eat donuts. Hope to see you there!

Our meet is at Huntington Park this evening and it starts at 5:30 pm. The kids need to be there by 4:45 for warmup. Crazy hair is the theme for the meet.
