Lady Falcon Mitchem Named New Coach!

Click the Link Above! Former Lady Falcon and SW Missouri State Lady Bear star Tara Mitchem was named new head women's basketball coach at Greenwood High School 3rd June 2002. Ms. Mitchem led Glendale to the Class 4-A Final Four and 4-A State Championship in 1996. She also helped the SW Missouri State Lady Bears to the NCAA Div. 1 Final Four in 2001. Tara is still the all-time leading scorer among girls at Glendale, with 2,136 points during her four year career. Good Luck Tara!

Ryan Luethy Signs with Evangel!

Click Headline to read story! Springfield R-12 City Player of the Year Ryan Luethy has signed to continue his basketball career with 2002 NAIA Div. II National Champion Evangel University! Luethy avg. 16 points and made 45% of his Three-Point field goal attempts this season, as the Falcons' finished 21-5 overall and second in the Ozark Conference with a 7-1 standard. Glendale Head Coach Steve Hesser was recently quoted as saying Luethy was "the best shooter he's coached in his 22 years in the business!" During Luethy's two years as a starter, Glendale had an overall record of 42-12 (.78%) and had an Ozark Conference record of 11-3 (.79%)!
