We will have more information on player evaluations (mid to late March) and team placements soon. 

T-ball:

Ages 4-5, both boys and girls.

Instructional Softball:

Ages 5, 6 and 7. Meets once a week for 1 ½ hours. During each session players are introduced to the fundamentals of softball (throwing, hitting, fielding) through drills, then participate in a "game". The coaches pitch in this league.

Minor Softball:

Ages 7-10. Provides advanced instruction on softball fundamentals, and players are introduced to real game play. Team practice begins in April, followed by a full schedule of games. There are modified game rules (no stealing, etc.) so the focus is on learning and having fun. The players pitch along with the coaches.

Major Softball:

Ages 9-12. Builds on fundamentals while teaching other aspects of the game (stealing, sliding, etc.). Team practice begins in April, followed by a full schedule of games. Little League Softball rules apply. Players only pitch. Players from this division are chosen to represent South Kingstown on District All-Star teams.

Senior Softball:

Ages 13 to 16. This division is for girls looking to continue to play softball in a competitive league. Team practices begin in April, followed by a full schedule of games. Little League Softball rules apply. Players from this division are chosen to represent South Kingstown on District All-Star teams.

The SK Babe Ruth league has completed its final season and is no longer in operation in South Kingstown. Because of this, South Kingstown Little League has expanded its offerings to include Junior and Senior Baseball divisions for ages 13-16. We expect many former Babe Ruth players to return to SKLL and join us in these new divisions! Please contact us if you have any questions regarding Junior/Senior Baseball.

The South Kingstown Little League 10/11A fall ball team recently defeated Chariho to take the District 3 Fall Ball Championship. Team members were Bo Brutti, Colin Egan, Kevin Gutelius, Marcus Howe, Blaine Lidsky, Brycen Maloney, Cam Munroe, Zach Rameaka, Phil Ruhle, Hunter Roberts, Jake Stafford, Jared Walker and Sam White. The coaches were Ken Munroe, Marc Lidsky, Pete Gutelius and Bob Brutti. Congratulations!

The SKLL softball Division recently wrapped up a successful 6 week fall softball program. The program provided an opportunity for experienced players to refine their skills, while younger players were introduced to new areas of the game in preparation for the spring season. Thank you for participating!

Congratulations to SKLL players Alexandrea Goodness, Jack Wentworth and Gregory Ballinger, who each took home state titles in the 2012 Pitch, Hit and Run competition during a recent on-field pre-game awards ceremony at McCoy Stadium.

Alexandrea was the Best All-Around State Champion for the 13-14 year old division; Jack was the Running champion for the 9-10 year old division; and Gregory was the Best All-Around State Champion for the 13-14 year old division.
