Waves Host Families Needed
From the Desk of Ocean State Waves General Manager, Matt Finlayson:
The Ocean State Waves are looking for 6-7 host families for the 2014 summer. Collegiate Student-Athletes report the first week of June and stay until the end of the season in the beginning of August. Host families are expected to provide the players with a bed, access to bathroom, refrigerator and washer/dryer (all team laundry is done by Pier Washtub). Players are expected to provide their own transportation to team functions and provide themselves with occasional meals (that the team does not provide).
The Waves are hosting a 'Host Family Orientation Night' this Thursday, May 1 at Pancho O'Malleys at 6:30 pm. There will be a spread of food with a cash bar. Feel free to attend if you are interested in learning more! All Waves host families receive a lifetime NECBL pass and baseball players (6-14) can attend a week of free summer camp!
