2010 Jets Season

Posted by Dave Rea at Nov 23, 2010 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
The 2010 Jets Varsity fielded a squad of the most experienced players they had in the past 2 seasons and were able to run the table going 9-0. They beat the Jaguars 19-14 in the Championship Game and became the 2010 BDYF/BYFA Varsity Champions. This was the Jets 5th playoff appearance and their 4th appearance in the Championship Game. The title is their second, they also won it all in 2003. Head Coach Steve Watkins picked up his 50th win along the way. He and his assistants Art Clark and Dan Kohler guided the team to an impressive season.

The JV Squad went 7-3 in League play and made the Championship for the second time. They came up short in a very hard fought game against the Brunswick Jets that went to overtime and saw the Brunswick Jets come out on top 6-0. The squad was coached by first year Head Coach Bill Graham and Assistants Greg Thomas, Carmen Monaco and Anthony Musarra.

The Pee Wee Squad was again under the leadership of Head Coach Dave Walker and Assistants Carmen Monaco and Assistants Mark Crooks, Terry Shrader, Andrew Nigh and Ryan Sweeney. This division keeps score but does not award a Championship. The team had another great season of instruction that gets them ready to move up to the JV Division.

The Jets Flag Squad returned to the team as the Bucks Flag teams were disolved. The team is made up of 5 and 6 year olds. They get an introduction to football and ease into playing tackle when they move to the Pee Wee Division at age 7. The Flag team was coached by Head Coach Ryan Sweeney and Assistant Scott Marcum.

Kara Seese Jets Varsity Cheerleaders. Tammy Potter coached the Jets JV Cheer Squad, Nicole McGivern coached the Pee Cheer Squad and Kim Watkins returned to coach the Jets Flag Squad.

A New Jaguar Has Arrived

Posted by Dave Rea at Nov 21, 2010 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
The Jaguars grew by one this week as JV Head Coach Eric Keller and his wife Renee welcomed Kolton William Keller into their family. He was born November 22, 2010 weighing in at 7 pounds 13 ounces and 19 inches long. (This is football you have to get the stats in there). By our calculations he will be eligible for the Jaguars Flag Squad in the 2016 Season. No word yet on whether or not Renee will receive a trophy at the Jags Banquet. Congratulations to the Keller family on their newest addition! image
