Results are posted - Go online to - Meet Results and see how your child did.  OMG the hard work is paying off.... There were some great performances and times are dropping.  Parents please show your child their times so they see their improvement.  Remember each child is different and will bloom in their own time.

Clerking Table - Thank you to the parents who showed up for their shift and worked the clerking table... Your help and support is very much appreciated and helps us to run a smooth track meet.  Parents if you are scheduled for clerking please show up and work your shift and if you cannot work, please assign someone to take your spot.  It's not fair to purposely miss your shift causing others to work longer.   WE WILL NEED EVERYONE FOR THE NEXT MEET.  If you know of anyone who needs community service, please let us know so they can be scheduled.

 

FEES

Everyone should be paid in FULL.  If you are not please send me an email ASAP to advise when payment will be made.  As always, you can make a donation to help out another athlete.

 

Next Meet - PIs Saturday, April 14th & Sunday April 15th, Mesa Community College (field events will start checking in at 7:30am... Please be at the track no later than 7:00am
Please make sure you are coming to practice. No scheduling conflicts so we expect full attendance from California.  With that said please be at practice so we get everything we need to bring home all the trophies.

Entries & Clerking - Track Meet - March 31st at South Mountain High School

Hello,

Entries have been submitted for the track meet to be held on Saturday, March 31st at South Mountain High School, 5401 S 7th Street, Glendale, AZ 85040 at 8am. ALL athletes should be there by 7am..... 9/10 parents will be scheduled to work the clerking table.  Please show up for your slot or arrange for someone else to do it.  We should not have to call the next set of workers over the loud speaker.

Please note that Sun Angel Classic the big college/high school meet that invites some kids to run in is April 7th.  This year they are inviting the 8U to run the 100 and the 11/12 to run the 400.  I have made sure everyone in those age groups have a chance to make it.  They are selecting top times from the beginning of the season through this meet at South Mountain. 


PLEASE WEAR YOUR NEW UNIFORM ONLY and your T-Shirt.  We cannot continue to have kids run out of uniform.  Everyone should be in red and black, including your undergarments if they are showing.  If you have on undergarments that show please make sure they are red or black.

Phoenix Invitationals 2018

Phoenix Invitationals is held at Mesa Community College on Saturday and Sunday, April 14th and April 15th - Be at the track at 7am (some field events will start at 7:30.  Everyone needs to make every practice to prepare for this meet. This meet is mandatory, but if for some reason you cannot be at the meet please let me know ASAP!!!  Tents cannot go up until SATURDAY MORNING AT 6AM... not before.  However we need someone to be up there at like 4 OR 5 to secure us a place in line.  I will need a couple people not carrying tents to go secure our spot then the tent carriers can catch up to place the tents. 

 

 I will for sure be there early and may be able to get in early to secure our regular tent city location.  Not sure how hot it will be, but  if someone has a generator bring it.  If you have an air cooler bring it.  Lets make a comfortable location for our kiddos.

This is the biggest track meet of the year....... We will need EVERYONES participation for clerking at Phoenix Invitationals.  This is a 2-day track meet and will have LOTS of kids participating from other states as well as Arizona.  We need ALL PARENTS, friends' relatives, high schoolers, etc to help us out.  If you know someone that needs community service hours (even court hours), please let me know ASAP..... Everyone will be signed up to work clerking. Please let me know of any additional people that may need community service hours so that I can schedule them in as well. 

This is a point scoring meet and athletes will be placed in events where we think they will help the team score points.  Your child may be required to do events they normally won't do.  Since this is a point scoring meet, we cannot have 10 kids in the 100 or 200 when only 1 or 2 may score or even make the finals.  Points are only scored for the top 6 finishers.  There will be athletes from all over competing at the Phoenix Invitationals. 

 

We are asking that every night each athlete stretch, do crunches, wall sits, planks and pushups at home (See email about what to do at home).  All of this helps with their strength, form, and coordination which will increase performance and maximize their potential.

PRACTICE THIS WEEK - CHANDLER ROTARY (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday)

Hi Guys,

Chandler Rotary is this weekend. The biggest high school meet in Arizona. Some of us are really excited. Teams from other states come to compete in this meet... Friday (open session) 9:00am; Saturday Morning (seeded session); 9:00am; and Saturday Evening (elite session) 4:00pm.

If you want to see some elite high school runners compete, please come out.

Ages 11 and up to come volunteer at the track meet.  Please enter through the clerking area where the old tennis courts us to be.  YOU MUST WEAR YOUR CHEETAH T-SHIRT if you are volunteering.  If you DO NOT wear your Cheetah shirt and are just coming to hang out please come in through the regular gate, pay and sit in the stands.

PRACTICE THIS WEEK WILL BE MONDAY, TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. NO PRACTICE ON THURSDAY.
