State – June 10th and 11th – Mesa Community College – Everyone on the team can compete. Same format as this past weekend with the 3 sessions. The only difference is that there will be NO masters running. The top 4 in each event will qualify to compete at Regionals. Please let us know if you will not compete in this meet.
Regionals – July 6th – July 9th – Mesa Community College – Racewalk will be on Friday, but all of our other events will be July 8th and 9th (Saturday & Sunday). We encourage everyone who makes it to Regionals to compete since there is no travel involved this year. The top 5 in each event will qualify for Nationals.
Nationals – July 24th – July 30th – Lawrence, Kansas – The actual day you need to arrive will depend on your events. We need any athletes competing in Nationals to arrive at least 1 day before they compete. Please click this link for the schedule. Anyone who qualifies can compete in this track meet. Just please take into consideration that the competition is very steep and your child may not make it out of the first round. It is highly recommended that you please check last year’s times to see where your child will land before deciding. You can find those times here. If you want to take your child for the experience and/or to motivate them for next year by all means do it. Just please take into consideration the expense of travelling. Please note that if you decide to take your child and they are not podium standard, all expenses will be on you.
If your child is podium standard, the team will assist in their travel. You will be contacted individually to discuss further.
