All-Star Rosters Set for 11 & 12 Year-olds

The 11 & 12 year-old all-stars have been selected for both the American and National divisions.  The American squad will be managed by Greg Gammon, and the Nationals by Chris Moshenek.  Tournament play will begin Saturday, June 28th.

American 9 and 10s Lose to Colonial

The Danville American 9 and 10s opened the district tournament yesterday at Miller Park in Lynchburg.  They squared off against Colonial, who defeated the Nationals on Saturday.  Unfortunately the results were similar, with the Americans losing by a score of 28-0.

Nationals 9 and 10s Drop Opener

The Danville National 9/10 All-Stars opened district play Saturday at Dan Daniel vs. Lynchburg Colonial.  The visitors got off to a fast start, scoring 7 runs in the first inning, including a Grand Slam.  The Nationals responded with 3 in the bottom half.  Both teams scored once in the second, but the Nationals would not score again.  Colonial added runs in the third and fourth to close it out by a score of 17-4.

The Nationals will face the lose of Lynchburg Jefferson and Charlotte County, with the date and time still to be determined.  Colonial will host Danville American on Sunday afternoon in Lynchburg.
