What started as a patch of dirt, Abe Miller grew into one of the regions largest Little Leagues. Over 700 children from the ages of 4 to 18 are registered to play tee-ball, baseball and softball this spring. In honor of Abe Miller's 50 years of dedicated service to our Little League youngsters and his tireless commitment to the Forest Hills community, the FHYAA is proud to declare "April 14th, 2007 - ABE MILLER DAY". A celebration will take place at the baseball fields located at 66-01 Fleet Street on Saturday, April 14th at 12:00pm. Abe Miller Day will commence with a ceremony followed by special Opening Day festivities by the 2007 Forest Hills Little League. Many local community leaders and area politicians who have supported Abe Miller and the Little League for the past 50 years will be out in force that day to help honor a champion for our children.
