The SNAPPERS train in the Kilpatrick Athletic Center pool, located on the campus of Simon's-Rock College of Bard.  It has eight 25 yard competition lanes with non-turbulant lane lines.  The dive end of the pool is seven feet deep and the turn end is four feet in depth.  The facility uses a daktronics timing system for swim meets.  In addition to the pool the Kilpatrick center has a basketball court with a rasied 16th of a mile track above, three squash/racketball courts, an areobics room, a indoor rockwall, weight room, and four tennis courts.

Head Coach-

Jim Hennessey--

 

 Jim was named to the New England Swimming Zone team coaching staff for 2016 and 2018.

He took over as Head Coach of the Snappers in the fall of 2014, after coaching in Vermont for the ten years prior.

In the Fall of 2013 Jim helped to create the Killington Aquatic Club for the swimmers in the Killington and Rutland VT area and for which he served as Head Coach.  Jim is a member of the American Swim Coaches Association and is certified at level 2.  In addition to coaching the Snappers, Jim is the Aquatic Adminstrator for Bard College at Simon's-Rock.

From 2010-2013 Jim assisted the Middlebury Aquatic Club in Middlebury Vermont in the Fall/Winter months as a lead age group coach working primiarliy with swimmers 9-12 years of age.

 In 2003 Jim started a winter training swim group in conjunction with the Town of Killington Parks department in Killington, Vermont.  This position grew into a seasonal summer leage coaching job for the Town of Killington Sharks.  Here Jim helped the Sharks finish at the top of their division in the Vermont Swim Association Championship.  

Jim began coaching in 2000 with the YMCA of Greater Providence South County Branch.  In the two years that he was assistant coach for the Seals, the team placed 2nd at the SENECY Championships both years.

Jim works with the Advanced group but is always on deck when the Snappers are in the water.

Assistant Coaches--

Julia Erickson-- One of the local Masters swimmers, a Swim America Instructor, and facility lifeguard, Julia is entering her third year as a USA swimming coach.  She works with the novice and the intermediate swimmers on the Snappers. 

Fran Lartigue -- Joins the coaching staff in the fall of 2017, she has previous expierence coaching middle school for The Chapin School in New York from 2004-2007.  Fran's frist year as a USA swimming coach was spent working with the Novice group for the most part.  Fran is also a swimmer competing for the Pacemaker Masters Swim Club.  She helps out as an instructor for the Kilpatrick Center's Aquatic fitness staff 2-3 days a week.

Alan Weaver -- His first year coaching with the SNAPPERS was 2017, overseeing the Intermediate swimmers on the team.  Alan also swims and coaches partime with the Pacemaker Masters Swim Club.  SO he's not just some old guy with nothing better to do.
