Summer Registration and Summer Concession fee/scheduling

If you are selected by the Manager or head coach in your division to play summer ball for Vancouver Minor Baseball in 2012 congratulations, this is what you need to know:

Only selected players will be requested to fill out a manual registration form and bring in 3 photo copies with Care card and birth certificate on them.

Parents this will need to be done by Wed, June 20th 2012 and handed back to your (Manager/ Coach/Team Parent) along with your summer registration fee so your manager can hand it in to us.

If You cannot pay your full registration fee up front, a payment plan will need to be made with our registrar (please notify your Manager/coach you may have an issue).Your Manager/Coach can contact our registrar to say there is a payment issue. When this issue has been satisfied for your player our registrar will contact your Manager/Coach to inform him or her that this has been done. (post dated checks are welcome).

Nobody will be able to play summer ball without a full registration or a payment plan in place, prior to receiving a summer ball uniform.

 Summer Concession-                                                                                                                          During summer play- The concession supervisors are only required to open and close concession  like in spring.  In past years your team is playing your parents must run concession or you hire a student.                                           

New this Year: Please read;

Every team is responsible for paying the concession summer fee. This is not a concession bond

like the spring season. This year It will be a team rate decided by our park scheduler based on

summer home play schedules.  Rebecca will schedule a student into work during the time

concession is open.                                                        

It is up to each team parent/coach/manager  to collect these funds each team will be notified.

 Coaches will pass team checks onto Edwin our treasurer . A posted Envelope will be in clubhouse on the cork board for these team checks (team  amounts may vary).

Hello Teams

 

This year we are changing things up so please read so you understand how it will all work.

 

Most Valuable Player This is for Mosquito to Midget teams. Normally we put a box out at concession on a set date and the kids vote and the box's ballots are counted. This year no box will go out, this year the coaches do the count. This year there will be TEAM MVP's not just Divisional MVP's

So Managers/ coaches from Mosquito to Midget please conduct a secret vote of who your players wish their team MVP to be and email it in by June 10th 9pm no later. Only one name will be accepted per team. Don't tell your players who got it so it will be a surprise.

 

Most Improve Players -  This is for Mosquito to Midget teams. Managers/ coaches please pick your team MIP's only one name will be accepted per team. This should be email in by June 10th. 6pm no later

Home Run Trophy's-  Clarification - In order for a player to receive this trophy the player must have gotten an over the fence home run not a natural home run. This could have happened at home or away.

The names and the times this player was able to achieve this should be emailed in by June 14th 6pm

no later. 

Example: Jane Doe 3 times, coaches you can put the dates on each ball so the players can have that record as the trophy face plate will not reflect that.

Coaches you may also bring the ball or balls to wrap up party (June 23th) to be placed in the glove trophy or just given depending how many they were able to achieve.

 

Participation trophy's  Not all age groups will receive these this year. Only Blastball, Mini Tad, Tad Pole and Mosquito Divisions will get a participation trophy.

 

 Coaches Don't forget these dates:

 

*Summer Roster information to be handed in at the clubhouse by Friday June 22rd , no later.

(Blue summer Roster Envelope Provided, on the cork board).

 

*Wrap Up Party- Sat, June 23 rd  11-2pm at Nanaimo Park.

 

*Annual General Meeting is Monday, June 25th

  Victoria Drive Community Hall, 7:30pm start (East 43rd and Vic).

Tad Pole Tournament May 31st - June 2nd, 2013

2013 Tadpole Tournament : May 31st to June 2nd,

Name: Vancouver Minor Tadpole Tournament

Dates: Fri. May 31st - Sun. June 2.

Cost is $250/team.

Maximum of 8 teams.

  This fun tournament is for up to 8 teams. MVPs will be awarded for each game. For the fun of it skills competition. Held at Nanaimo Park (46th and Nanaimo St. in Vancouver)

As of June 1st this box will be placed on the counter at concession until June 10th. If you would like to offer an idea towards a motion creation please give us your input and have your say.

Don't forget Vancouver Minor Baseball's AGM is June 25th 7:30pm @ Victoria Drive Community Hall (Vic Dr & East 43rd)
