A's 8 vs Mets 12

The Mets, notorious for their fielding talents, held the A's to 8 runs on Monday night, shutting them down completely for 3 innings, despite the fact that the A's were putting their bats on the ball. The Mets put up 4 runs in the 1st, the 3rd, and the 5th to hand Coach Rocky a loss in his do-or-die game of the tournament. After the game, an anonymous source was overheard saying, "I know it was a frustrating season at times for Coach with some close losses and some games where they just couldn't score, but Rocky did such a great job with this team. He always kept it fun, and he really helped those kids become better players -- hitting and fielding. He's such an awesome coach, and we'll be sad to see him moving up to Mustang."

Braves 9 vs Rangers 12

The Braves were eliminated by the Rangers in a Monday night loss. The Rangers took an early 4 run lead by the 2nd inning, but the Braves were able to tie up the game in the top of the third, and the tenacious quartet of Mounie, Wolter, Jones, and Johnson shut down the Rangers' bats for the bottom of the inning. The rally was short-lived, and the Rangers came back with 6 more runs over the next to innings to send the Braves home for the season.
