DYFL has moved from grade based to age based for all participants!!!!!

Age of player between dates of July 1st and November 30th will be the participants season age, so if they go up in age during that time, they will be considered the older age. No participants turning 15 during this period or before is eligible to participate. NO HIGH SCHOOL PARTICIPANTS ALLOWED

Junior Novice:
Ages 6-8 with lighter 9 year olds (79.9 lbs or less), X MEN 90 lbs and up

Novice:
Ages 9-10 with lighter 11 year olds (99.9 lbs or less), X MEN 110 lbs and up

Junior Varsity:
Ages 11-12 with lighter 13 year olds (119.9 lbs or less), X MEN 140 lbs and up

Varsity:
Ages 13-14, no older lighters, 8th graders MUST play varsity regardless of age, X MEN 190 lbs and up

Limit 5 older lighters per squad, 1st come 1st serve for those spots, otherwise players will be moved up to next level

No minimum weight for Novice, Junior Varsity, and Varsity. Junior Novice minimum weight is 45 lbs

Any participant that hits X MEN weight during season will become X MAN for remainder of season

Cheer has standard ages 6-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14,
 

Wow, what an amazing 2017 season! All 4 levels made playoffs for football, and cheer won 2nd place at comp for 3 levels! Did I mention as an organization, we won spirit award at cheer comp? And then terriffic showing at the Manteca Christmas Parade! OFF AND RUNNING already to the 2018 season!

But we have one thing left in 2017, AWARDS CEREMONY!!!!  Saturday, 12/9/17 at Calvary Church in Manteca, we cap off the 2017 season with getting together one last timne, have some fun, eat some food, and SIGN UP for 2018!!! Ceremony is from 2pm-6pm, with signups from 2pm -3pm. We encourage all familes to show, see some great pictures from the season, let the kids hang out again, and deepen those Manteca Chargers roots! Some of the smaller details are as follows:

2pm-6pm - Early dinner (Fagundas Catering, drinks), slideshow, awards, and dancing!

2pm-3pm - 2018 Registration - lowest price for 2018 season, sign up now and tell friends! RECRUIT RECRUIT   RECRUIT!!!!!!

2017 Athletic Director 

As we look forward to the 2016 season, we ask for everyone to be part of the success of our franchise and make this a memorable season for our kids. Together we can make this the best one yet! What can you do? You can help us recruit new players and cheerleaders, find a sponsor to help offset our practice and game expenses, volunteer to help out for activities, volunteer to help coach, become part of our board to help make decisions affecting the franchise and making a positive impact on our kids. There are many ways you can help and no amount of time is too small!

DYFL representatives attended our board meeting last night and we were advised that DYFL is not changing the boundaries that were set forth earlier this year (we are able to recruit players and cheerleaders from the Sierra and Manteca High School Districts).
