EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Posted by Sean Head on Oct 30 2016 at 05:00PM PDT

Practices:

Noted on the monthly calendars for times and locations. It is important to watch the age groups and times. We ask that the kids are prepared. This means, always wear appropriate one piece swimsuits, goggles, swim caps. Bring towel, flippers (these will be issued by the team), and water bottles.

*Do not wear any jewelry. The coaches will not be responsible for any missing or lost jewelry. It is PIAA rules that earrings, necklaces, bracelets or any other jewelry is not permitted.

Paperwork and fees:

Paperwork will be due on November 11, 2016. All fees will be paid at that time. The fee will be $45. You can pay by cash or check. If paid by check, make them out to BS Ushers.

Swim Suits and other equipment:

The Swim team website has a link to the swim outlet. If you choose to purchase swimsuits on this site, there are suggested suits on our page. Make sure to change the color in your order to Black and Gold. No one is obligated to use this site or buy this swimsuit. We ask that if you do choose to order any items from the Swim Outlet, that you go through our affiliate account. This allows the team to get credit which we use for items such as flippers. The flippers used have been ordered through this and from generous donations of swim families.

Meets:

Meets will all be the Prep Villa Event Center (PVEC). These will be on Saturdays or Sundays. Exact times are to be determined. All kids are again required to be prepared for all meets. This means: be at the meet 30 minutes prior to time, bring towels, water bottles, goggles, caps and swimsuits.

Final Meets:

These are all school meets. They will be split between 5-8th grade and 1st-4th grade on two separate Sundays in February. These can be extra-long especially for the younger swimmers. The diocese does run the 1st and 2nd followed by the 3rd and 4th as if it was two separate meets in one day. Make sure you kids are prepared with healthy snacks and extra water bottles as needed. Also suggested to bring extra towel to the final meet.
