2013 Summer T&F Sign-Up Procedure
Travelling RsummerR track and field is just around the corner. Informal on-your-own practices begin the first week in May 2013. Formal one-on-one practices also start in May at a site(s) TBD.
The registration deadline is April 15, 2013. The registration fee MUST be paid BEFORE the first practice - NO exceptions. Please CALL.
This past season we practiced mainly at Upper Perkiomen Middle School (Pennsburg, PA), Boyertown Junior High East (Gilbertsville, PA) and Central Bucks West (Doylestown, PA).
June and July plus the first week in August are reserved for competition. There is one competition path you can choose – USA Track & Field (USATF) competition (see chart below).
All meets are pay-on-own via the internet. ALL meet details are on the internet. There are a smorgasbord of meets to choose from! Recommended meets are highlighted. A coach will not necessarily attend each meet, but a coach will generally attend the first two highlighted to help you learn your routine.
ü Up to 16 events are offered in Summer/Spring track meets, esp. Championships üUp to 11 events are offered in Winter track meets per gender per two-year age group, esp. Championships. NOTE: Although CYO T&F progrms compete locally and save you travel-time, the number of events offered per age group is severley restricted (my opinion), i.e., an 8-year-old girl from Green Lane/Upper Perk recently completed her first season of CYO T&F and they offered NO field events and ONLY two running events in her age group! BUYER BEWARE ;o!
