The North Reading Girls 6 lost another tough one on Sunday to Westoford 40-35.   The girls from Westfors pulled out to an early 8 point lead.  The girls from North Reading went on multiple runs to close the game to a point.  Every time Westford responded with another run to extend their lead.  North Reading was within a basket with a few minutes left but Westford hit their free throw at the end of the game to clinch it.

The girls from North Reading defeated Bevery 36-14 on Saturday afternoon at the NRHS.  The girls from NR came out quickly and scored the first 3 baskets and never looked back.   The NR girls played well defensively throughout the game.

Wilmington defeated the North Reading Girls 6 team in a game that came down to the last minute of the game.    The game was tight for the first first half and the score was tied at the half 9-9.   The Wilmington girls took a 17-9 lead in the second half and dominated the game until about 5 minutes left.  The NR girls went on an inspired run to cut the lead.  North Reading took the lead 21-20 with about 1 minute left an a steal and layup.  Wilmington, however, hit 3 free throws down the stretch to pull out the win.

After trailing early by a score of 10 - 0 and being down at the half 16 - 7, the girls from North Reading staged a furious comeback in the second half outscoring Revere by a score of 26 - 2 to pull out the 15 point win.   The win was sparked by a great team effort that focused on pressing the ball on the defensive side and improved ball movement on the offensive side.
