june 7 -9 San Diego USABF

Hurricanes went 3 & 2 on the weekend.  The Canes came up short today, losing 9-1 to the Encinitas Gamers in the championship game. Although some great plays were made throughout the game, they could not overcome the 4 errors and only 3 hits in the game. The Gamers scored 9 runs on 8 hits.

Jake did ok this weekend, some hard hit balls right to the defenders, and only managed to find a few holes. Great job throwing out runners; In game 3 against the San Diego Dirtbags, 3/3 CS.

Jake hit the furthest ball he's ever hit this weekend. He hit a home run that came down in the trees,  across the street from the school (600 ft. away from home plate). Even though it was called foul by the catcher of the opposing team, we know it was fair. You won't find it in the stats, but it sure is a pretty swing to watch.  http://youtu.be/cXIP6oQOiy0
