Jake hit good, but had a very rare bad day throwing behind the dish. He picked the wrong day to have a bad day. Congratulations to all the players who made the area code teams.
2013 UNDER ARMOUR SOUTHWEST CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Stanford All Star Camp was amazing! Recommend this to every player. Beautiful campus, weather, stadium and people! Coach Stotz is an incredible person, very smart and funny, and I'm sure would be an amazing coach to play for. Congrats to all the players who got recruited by Stanford and will have the opportunity to play for Coach Stotz.

#24 Jake Pulcheon C 6’4 220 R/R CMI/ Choice 2000 Menife, CA8/1/2013 Big frame strong body catcher that can stay behind the plate at the next level. Athletic side to side, good blocker and strong hands/ good receiver. 2.1 pop time. At the plate Jake showed above average bat speed with power to the pull side. Good pre-pitch movement and consistently put himself in a good hitting position. Short and balanced swing for his size.

Jake hit very well this weekend. Very sore and catching was rough. He is seeing the ball well right now and hitting amazing. Avg. - .636 OBP - .616
Jake went 7 for 11 with 1 DBL, 1 BB & 1 Sac Fly
I want to thank the ABCL Spring League for the opportunity they gave Jake to play baseball during the high school season. Jake is a 4.0 student, and did not want to transfer from his high school. Thanks to the spring league, he was able to not only play, but play at a much higher level of competition, which he has been accustomed to with travel ball.
The pitching was some of the best I have seen, being there were a lot of redshirt college players present on the teams. The batters were challenged like never before, and for Jake, I was thrilled at the level he was competing against, and the very talented athletes he was facing. We acquired many new friends this season, and hope to cross paths again in the future.
