Little League Parents and Volunteers:

With the safety of the players and all Little League volunteers at the top of our list, Little League International is providing information for parents on keeping children safe from sexual abuse predators.

With many leagues already underway and some others starting in the coming weeks, the story, "Proactive Parenting: Use These tips to Help Prevent Children from ever Being Abused," provides 10 tips to keep your children safe by Jill Starishevsky, a prosecutor of child abuse and sex crimes in New York City.

A link to the story is available, at: http://www.littleleague.org/media/newsarchive/2012/Jan-Apr/ProactiveParenting-HelpPreventChildrenFromBeingAbused.htm. More information is available on the Little League website on reporting sexual abuse, at: http://www.littleleague.org/learn/programs/childprotection/ReportingChildAbuse.htm.
