The Shuck 'n Run 5K was started in 2009 as a culminating project for a local High school senior.  It is held on the same weekend as Oysterfest, a decades old tradition in Mason County.  The goal of Shuck 'n Run 5K is to bring the community together to race while raising cash for Shelton High School athletes.

The 5K loop course is fast and enjoyable.  Awards are given to age group and overall winners.  Refreshments are served at the race.  Parking and shuttle to Oysterfest are available after the race at SHS.

We are:

Event organizers.  We create opportunites in Mason County for members of the community, particularly youth, to challenge themselves in distance running competitions.  Our events include road races, cross country races, and trail races.

Competitive athletes.  We gather for workouts and distance runs to share expereince and support each other so we can progress in the quest against ourselves and our competitors.

Advocates for distance running in the community.  We raise funds, find and create new places to run, and promote distance running in the media.

Shelton Harriers is a USATF Member Club.  We let everyone into our club and events-except whiners and haters.
