Mites (8U - Born: 2008-2010)

Coaches Letter of Intent

  HOUSE/SELECT COACHES 2016-2017

LETTER OF INTENT / APPLICATIONS

 

The STHA is now accepting Letters of Intent and Applications for House and Select Coaching positions for the 2016-2017 season.   

 

All Coaches shall be USA Hockey certified to coach at the proper level and screened, per USA Hockey Official Rules of Ice Hockey and the New York State Amateur Hockey Association (NYSAHA) Official Guide. All candidates interested in becoming head coach of a house team shall submit, in writing, a coaching application. A separate coaching application shall be submitted for each age level the applicant is interested in coaching. The letter shall state the age level the applicant is interested in coaching, the current coaches level that is held with the expiration date, and past coaching experience(s). Additional information can be submitted as desired by the applicant.  

 

All applicants must have their Letter of Intent and Coaches Application submitted to the House VP's for House and Select coaching positions by August 31, 2016.  

 

For the cross-ice divisions (8U), all Letters of Intent and Applications need to be emailed to Joe Roberto, ADM Coordinator. 

 

For the upper divisions (10U, 12U, 14U, 16U), all Letters of Intent and Applications need to be emailed to Patrick Basile, VP of House Operations, Upper House. 

 

Please be sure that Roy Wagner, ACE Coordinator, is also copied on all submissions.

SIHA Summer 2016 Clinic

SIHA 2016 SUMMER CLINIC

The Sport International Hockey Academy is excited to be bringing our 27th year of hockey instruction to: The Ice House Sports Complex (August 22 - 26) - "40 Hour Program".

 

We currently have 5 Skater slots & 1 Goalie space still available for our August 22 - 26 Camp. As a side note we did fill most of our camp locations last year and we do limit registrations, to ensure that we offer quality hockey instruction, to all of our students.

OUR 40 HOUR SIHA PROGRAM (8:15 AM - 4:15 PM)

 

Player On-Ice Program: We offer each student 3 hours of daily Power Skating & Puckhandling training including Power Skating (Forward Stride, Tight Turns, Backwards Skating and Stops & Starts). Puckhandling (Passing, Shooting, 1 on 1's, 2 on 2's, 2 on 1's & Intro to Checking.

 

Goalie On-Ice Program: We offer each Goalie, daily 1 on 1 Goalie Instruction including the following skill emphasis drills; Stance & Angles, The Pad Save, The Glove Save & The Break-Away Save. All goalies will enjoy concentrated instruction from our Goalie Instructor on a daily basis.

 

Video Analysis: All students (players & goalies) will be filmed each day in a different on-ice drill (players & goalies) and will then sit down daily with our Head Instructor to have their skills thoroughly analyzed through the use of our telestrator, instructor audio, split screen comparisons and Pro-Video Comparisons. You may purchase your Personalized Take-Home DVD Analysis (MP4 Computer Transferable Files) for $15.00. "Clearly Our Best Guarantee For A Quality Hockey Education".

 

Russian Training: Each student will have the opportunity to participate in a series of daily off-ice conditioning exercises to further develop their hockey muscles including; Arm exercises, Leg exercises, Agility Stickhandling exercises, Obstacle Course Challenge (for prizes) & our "Iron Man Contest".

 

Off-Ice Shooting: All students will participate in our daily off-ice shooting program, shooting approximately 75 pucks per day with a different shot each day (Wrist Shot, Backhand Shot, Snap Shot & Slap Shot). Our expert staff will also film each player with their shooting technique and professionally analyze their shot through the use of our I-Pad (telestration and slow motion analysis).

 

Recreation: Our program also offers a cool down segment where our staff and students have fun each day with a different recreational activity each day (Road Hockey, Whiffle Ball, Kick Ball, International Hand Ball & Soccer).

 

Daily Lectures: We offer a daily hockey lecture for all students including the following; Sportsmanship & Self Discipline, Game-Tape Analysis (Scrimmage Break-Down), Rules Lecture, NHL Behind The Scenes & Pre-Game Preparation. You may purchase your Game Tape Analysis Group Scrimmage DVD (MP4 Computer Transferable Files) for $15.00.

 

Lunch Program: We do offer the choice of ordering a lunch package (Pizza, Sub, BBQ burger or hot dog, BBQ Chicken Patties) - all lunches are served with Gatorade, chips, desert and fruit. Our Youth Meal is $37.00 and our Big Kid Meal is $48.00. Some cities may incur a $10.00 catering surcharge (please see our website or brochure).
