Learn to Skate

Posted by Chris Behonick at Aug 31, 2016 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

    LEARN TO SKATE

The STHA is considering implementing a “Learn to Skate” program for the 2016-2017 season geared toward interested families of children who have not yet been on the ice.
This program, if implemented, would consist of the following:
o Beginning players (typically 3 years old and up)
o The only requirement is interest in hockey
o The learn to skate sessions will be shorter sessions and the focus will be to progress the players to skate under their own power. It is anticipated that many of the children in this group will advance into the Blue division as the season progresses.
o The program would consist of 10 sessions running from October to early December. The sessions would take place once a week and run about 45 minutes.
The STHA Board will assess the level of interest in the Learn to Skate Program and determine if there’s enough interest to warrant implementing the program for the 2016-2017 season.
If you have an interest in this program please let us know by emailing Piero Lisio at pierolisio@gmail.com
