Ridgewood Junior Wrestling

The next couple of weeks are going to be very busy.  Here is a complete list of what is scheduled for this week:

Practices

• Tuesday 6:30-7:45 and 7:45-9:15
• Thursday 6:30-7:45 and 7:45-9:15

Novice Tournament

• Weigh-in Thursday Night at Northern Valley HS in Demarest
  • 162 Knickerbocker Rd
  • Any time between 6pm and 8pm
• No registration required - when you weigh in you are registered
• Tournament is on Sunday, February 12
  • 8-under arrive by 8:30 for 9:00 start
  • Others arrive by 1:30 for 2pm start (approximate)

Saturday Twin County Meet

IMPORTANT - Please note that this is an afternoon meet.

• Where:  Westwood High School * 701 Ridgewood Rd * Washington Township
  Washington Jr Wrestling
  
  
•  When: Arrive by 2:15 for a 3:00pm start
•  Who: All Wrestlers -- this is our last regular Saturday TCJWL meet

Wrestling Parents,

We have one meet left and then it's on to the TCJWL tournaments. Outlined below is information to help you prepare for the rest of the season.

• Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday this week at our regularly scheduled times. All practice/meet information is posted on our website. As a reminder, it's your responsibility to check the calendar (http://www.ridgewoodwrestling.org/) for dates/times of all wrestling activties.
• Our last TCJWL meet is this Saturday at Washington Township. Please let us know as soon as possible if your child will not be able to wrestle by sending an email to caiafaj@dnb.com.
• In preparation for the upcoming tournaments the important dates to remember are;

1. February 12th - Novice Tournament - open to any first or second year wrestler who has not won a medal in any prior tournament. 
2.  February 19th - Twin County District Tournament - open to all wrestlers registered in the Ridgewood junior Wrestling program. 
3. February 26th - Twin County Regional Tournament - open to all wrestlers who place in the TC District Tournament. 

IMPORTANT NOTICE 
This notice applies ONLY to children who have:

• Missed 2 Saturday meets without notifying the Coaching staff, or 
• Missed the 2/4 meet at Park Ridge without notifying the Coaching Staff, or 
• Have been absent from consequtive practices during the week of 1/30. 

Your child will be automatically be REMOVED FROM THE ACTIVE ROSTER for the next Twin County meet on Saturday (2/11) unless you notify the Coaching Staff that your child will be in attendance. No matches will be scheduled unless your child's attendance is confirmed.

The Skip Bailey tournament is this Sunday (1/7) at Saddle brook high school. Details for the tournament are outlined below.  We encourage all kids to enter this tournament, but particpation is optional.

Start Time:

• 1st Session: 8:30am (6U/8U/10U)
• 2nd Session: 12:30pm or when 1st session is complete (12U/14U)

 Weigh-ins:

•  Thursday, January 5, 2012 5pm to 7pm
• Saddle Brook High School, Boys Locker Room
• Ridgewood will weigh-in as a team at 5:30 PM. Please have your child at Saddle Brook high school no later than 5:15. 
•  Wrestlers MUST weigh-in with their respective teams and MUST wear a competition singlet. No exceptions will be allowed. 

 Singlet Handout:

•  Singlets and warm-ups will be handed out tomorrow evening (1/3) in the back hallway of the high school gym #2 between 6 and 8 PM. 
•  Any wrestler intending on weighing-in on Thursday must pick up their singlets prior to the weigh-in.
