Posted by Mark Correia at Aug 8, 2007 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Coming off a strong showing at the PONY Nationals in Cary, N.C., the 14U Bombers captured 2nd place at the Last Blast Tournament in Norwich, CT. on August 4th & 5Th. The team finished 2-1 on Saturday, allowing only 3 runs to earn the 3rd seed. The girls came out focused and ready to play on Sunday. In the first game, they put on an offensive display of speed, power and timely hitting and won 11-0. Game two was extremely well played by both teams and the girls showed true determination, coming from behind, to win 4-2. They fell short in the finals but finished the weekend 4-2, capturing the 2nd place trophy. Great job by all...can I get a hoo-rah!

DO YOU HAVE "IT"?

Posted by Mark Correia at Oct 23, 2006 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
"IT" is the desire to succeed, drive to be better and the ambition to dominate the competition. "IT" does not come from the coaches, it comes from within. IF YOU HAVE "IT": 1. You will make a difference instead of making excuses. 2. You will be there for the team. 3. You will show no negative emotion on the field. Only positive. 4. You will accept responsibility for your actions. Both good and bad. 5. You will consider yourself valuable to the team. No matter your role. 6. You will learn from victory as well as defeat. 7. You will never give up. 8. You will learn from physical and mental mistakes. 9. You will practice 100% everyday, because you play like you practice. 10. You will be the kind of teammate like you want to have.image
