THERE IS SOME INFORMATION THAT I NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL STUDENT ATHLETES GET AND TAKE HOME TO THEIR PARENTS.

West Jefferson Middle School Soccer Team Won the Season Opener beating Cypress Christian 4-0.

Goalie Dallas McLean had a great 1st half as a 7th grader by not allowing any goals, and saving 8 shots on goal. The Roughriders 1st half goals were scored by Philip Taylor and he was assisted by Captain Nate Gallion and Kile Cochran. The Defense led by Captain Codie West & Co-Captain Abby Dickerson was Awesome. The Roughriders took 5 shots on goal the 1st half.

The 2nd half was a bit better and most of the game was played towards their half of the field. Jake Zeallear played Goalie the 2nd half. The Roughriders again scored 2 goals, this time by Dylan Mayabb on two breakaway runs up the middle. The Riders took 8 shots on goal in the 2nd half. Cypress Christian was never allowed the opportunity in the 2nd half to take a shot. The whole team stepped up when needed to hold off Cypress Christian.

DO YOU THINK THAT WE CAN PLAY LIKE THE 1st GAME, SCORE 1ST AND THEN HOLD THEM OFF ???

WEST JEFFERSON MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER 8/29/07

On days that it is an away game, we will meet and stay in the Auditoria. There, you will be able to study, do your homework, and get ready for the game. We will sit in an area that is away from where others may be. If there is anyone in the room, you must keep your talking and noise down. Make sure that you pick up after yourself and do not leave any trash anywhere.

Bring an after school snack to hold you over till you get home.

Make sure that you bring all of your soccer equipment with you to school on games days. If you forget something and are not properly dressed for the game, you will not get to play.

Home Jerseys are the White, and Gold is your Away Jersey.

On Home Games, please be at the field at least 45 minutes before Game Time.

All school rules will apply while you are in the auditoria, school bus and at any game location or field.

If parents would like to donate to the ice fund, please see Coach Jeff. I have no problem buying the ice, but if parents want to help a little, that is ok.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication so far this season.
