GAME # 5

West Jefferson Middle School beat Madison Plains Middle School on Monday 9/10/07 @ Converse Park in West Jefferson. The final score was 6 - 0. West Jeff played a decent game. Madison Plains kept the pressure on us the whole game. It was nice to finally hear the team talking with each other, and making passes. It is always easier to win as a Team.

The first goal was scored by Jake Zeallear in the 19th minute from a pass from Nathan Gallion right to Jake. Jake also scored the second goal.

Anna Deleon scored the third goal. Anna had the ball in their 6 yard box and would not back off. With her persistence, she kicked it into the goal when the ball went loose.

Nathan Gallion scored the fourth goal from about 30 yards out, and it went right over the keepers hands. That ended the 1st half of the game.

In the second half of the game, Kile Cochran scored the 5th goal of the game.

Nathan scored the sixth and final goal of the game.

West Jefferson never allowed a goal. The defense lead by Captain Codie West was the strength and power in the back. Abby Dickerson again was tremendous on the left side. Justin and Kile stepped up as well in defense.

West Jeff took 21 shots on goal, Madison Plains had 6. West Jeff Goalies had 6 saves; Dallas McLean-2; Chris King-4. Madison Plains goalie had 11 saves.

Great Job to all of the players for all of your hard work, and your persistence in scoring goals and stopping their game.
