Carroll & Chotkowski Combine on 3-Hitter as Chiefs Beat Maddogs 5-1

(Malden, MA) Cal Carroll (1-2) and Jonathan Chotkowski combined on a three-hitter when the Chiefs defeated the Malden Maddogs 5-1 at Maplewood on Wednesday evening.
Carroll (3 K’s) went three innings while Chotkowski (3 K’s) worked the final four frames. Chris Klein (2 RBI) and John Baptista both had triples, Juan Parra added a double and RBI, and Ryan Noone two hits to pace the Chiefs.
Matt Tyman (0-3) suffered the loss for the Maddogs.
The Chiefs are now off for the ICL’s annual Fourth of July break. They will resume play next Wednesday (July 6) when they again play the Madoogs at Maplewood at 8:00 PM. Next Thursday the Chiefs will visit the Reading Bulldogs at Lexington High at 7:00 PM.
