Chiefs & Americans End in 9 Inning 3-3 Tie, Monday's Game PPD

(Melrose, MA) The Chiefs and Melrose Americans played to the ICL’s first tie of the season in a nine-inning 3-3 deadlock at Morelli Field on Sunday afternoon.

The two teams used seven pitchers in the game. Christian Rosati, (pictured) went 5.1 innings, Paul Frisoli (1.2 inn), and A.J. Rourke (2 inn) also worked for the Chiefs while Ryan Joyce (4.1 inn), Christian Loescher (0.2 inn), Nick Colucci (1 inn), and Bobby Tramondozzi (3 inn) pitched for the Americans.

Andrew Caulfield, with two hits including a double and RBI, and Ryan Noone, who had two hits and a couple of RBI’s led the Chiefs.

Aidan Barry hit a two run homer, Corey Bright had a double and single, and Gianni Zarrilli drove in a run for the Americans.

The Lexington Blue Sox-Chiefs game scheduled for tonight at Maplewood has been rained out. The Chiefs will play their final game before the ICL’s annual Fourth of July break on Wednesday at 8:00 PM when they host the Malden Maddogs at Maplewood.
