Chiefs Break Out with 22-7 Win in Regular Season Finale
Malden, MA- The Chiefs saved their biggest offensive outburst for last as they beat the Melrose Americans 22-7 in the regular season finale at Morelli Field.
Kyle Dembrowski led the attack with two homers, while R.J. Libby, Mike Gedman, Andrew Caufield and Ben Waldrip, all had one homer. The Chiefs hit a season high six round trippers and had 23 hits in the game.
Dembrowski (pictured) added a double and three RBI’s, Gedman totaled six RBI’s on a grand slam and a single, Libby had a 4 for 5 night with five RBI’s, Waldrip finished 5 for 6 with four RBI’s, and Manny Cabral (2), Brian Bessler (2) and Evan Reynolds (3), all chalked up multi-hit games.
Josh Bosh added a two run homer for the Americans.
David Kerns (1-0) went the six innings to record the win.
