News and Announcements
Initial results from the Super Scrimmage practice meet at SRVHS March 1st. Some times were not availible, or blew away perhaps! The coaches are following up with the SRV staff to fill in the blanks.
Many outstanding performances today. PR's are difficult to gauge this early in the season and for these 'odd' distances, but when you convert the times, the Mustangs have much to be optimistic about!
Next up - The Bodymax East Bay Invitational on March 8th for Selected Athletes.
Spreadsheet pending. Too many results missing (where are the FS Boys 1200 results???).
Great job today by ALL, with some amazing performances by some of you! Lexi Riopelle takes two firsts today (FSG 1200 and 2400) in dominating runs. MV F/S Girls take top 4 spots in the 1200 (Lexi, followed by Anna Hoyt, Kimmy Abood and Natalie Scott). Derek Giovanetti runs a breakthrough 1200, as the F/S boys packed a bunch of runners up front in what was easily the most competitive race on the day. Josh Smiley and Rahul Avasarala are in the front pack as well.
Bhavik Kanzaria battles Jason Silva of SRV in a SUPER FAST VB 1200, taking second in a huge personal best for the 1200. Connor Donley has a strong race to take 3rd, passing teammate and EBAL wrestling champ Dustin Harris (4th) on the last backstretch. Clinton McAdams, Harry Nunns and Amis Matulionis are the next three across as the MV Distance sends a strong message.
Nicole Aha and Chloe Wood are 1-2 in the Varsity Girls 2400, bouncing back after a tough 1200 early in the day (MV's Brett Zorich is second in the 1200 behind a fast Miramonte runner). Amanda Steele, Lauren Ho and Kim Chin all run strong in the 1200 earlier.
MANY distance runners form 4 X 400's, much to Coach Davis' delight! Next up the EBI on March 8th.
