MV TrackBlast 7- First EBAL Dual Meet Info

Hello Mustangs,
We have an exciting week ahead as we head over to national power De La Salle/Carondelet on Thursday, March 23rdfor our First EBAL League Dual Meet.  This meet will be scored and is a great opportunity to compete in up to 4 events!  Please read and understand the plan for Thursday below.
  • De La Salle address: 1130 Winton Dr, Concord, CA 94518
  • Thursday March 23rd - Minimum Day @ Monte Vista High School -  12:33pm Release
  • The Team is encouraged to pack (2) lunches and come down to the track to eat as a team. Students are highly encouraged not to leave the Monte Vista campus before the buses leave if possible. Buses will leave promptly at 2pm. We will have a team picnic, coaches will be in attendance.
  • (4) Buses Depart Monte Vista 2pm (Trip to De La Salle HS 20-25 Minutes)
  • Arrive at De La Salle High School @ 2:30pm
  • Team Tent Set Up, 20 minute break to settle in
  •  2:50-2:55pm - Team Meeting in Stands, 2 Laps as a Team, Team Break
  • 3pm Athletes competing in 4x100, 1600 and Field Events begin prep for warm-up
  • 3:30pm Field Events Begins
  • 4pm Running Events Begins (Rolling Schedule) Girls/Boys Heats

  2. 1600m
  3. 100 Hurdles/110 Hurdles
  4. 400m 
  5. 100m
  6. 800m
  7. 300 Hurdles
  8. 200m
  9. 3200m
  10. 4x400 Relay
  11. Buses depart De La Salle for Monte Vista at 7:30pm-8pm

Attention Parents: Please come and watch this exciting dual meet! Parents are highly encouraged to drive their own students home after the meet as we have only limited bus space for the return trip.

  • What to Bring: 2 lunches, snacks and plenty of water (Noon and 5pm) - athletes will be out from 12:30pm - 7:30pm - Sweat Pants and Top, Jersey, Spikes/Competition Shoes, Warm-Up Shoes
  • Athletes may not leave the meet early - Athletes are required to stay and support teammates and cheer on 4x400 relays in EBAL League Meet Contests.  Most athletes will be running the 4x400.
  • 2 Buses will Depart from De La Salle to Monte Vista at 7:30pm-8pm which is estimated time of meet finish. Coach Kindell will wait with athletes for pick-up at Monte Vista after the meet.
Choir Students: Choir Students: As a one-time, special exception, Coach Kindell will allow choir students to leave the meet before it ends in order to arrive on time for the Thursday night concert. Do not abuse this privilege. Run your events and leave no sooner than you must.
