 On Sunday, June 3, 2018, the Marist Track & Field TEAM will be honored at the East Bank Club, 500 N. Kingsbury, Chicago, Illinois. 

 A very special banquet will take place to honor one of the greatest Track & Field Teams in Marist history!!!

 The Marist Track & Field awards banquet is one of the most meaningful events of the school year. It represents the official acknowledgement of the athletes accomplishments before the entire Team, administration, parents, and guests.

 The 2018 Marist Track season was one of the most successful seasons in the history of Marist High School.

 13 athletes earned Pinneapples and a plaque for breaking a school record in an individual  event and/or relay. Several of the school records had lasted 36 years or longer, including the 3200m, 1600m, 400m, 200m, 4x200m, and 4x100m!!

 In one year, Marist went from 15th place at IHSA Class 3A Sectionals with one point (2017) to THIRD place at IHSA Class 3A Sectionals with 68 points! (2018).

 In one year, Marist went from having no state qualifiers, to EIGHT athletes qualifying for the Class 3A IHSA State Track and Field Championships 

 Chicago Marist High School also finished in the Top 3 in the IHSA Sectional Championships for the first time since 1982!  

 Marist also had individual IHSA Sectional Champions in the 100m (Jovan Marsh), 400m (Brian Ferguson), and the High Jump (Steven Rowe).

 The experience at the STATE meet was priceless.

 Marist also had an outstanding Indoor Track season. Marist had Illinois Prep Top Times (Indoor State) Qualifiers in the 55m High Hurdles, and 400m Dash.

 The Marist Track and Field Banquet features an Italian Buffet with Chicken Vesuvio with potatoes and peas, Pan-Seared Salmon in tomato-fennel sauce, Cheese Stuffed Arancini with marinara on the side, Flatbread, Grissini, Filone and Ciabatta with dipping oil and parmesan, Romaine Hearts with caesar dressing, Prosciutto with melon, Vegetable Antipasto Salad, Mushroom and Spinach Salad, Mushroom Tortellini in white wine, herbs and cheese, Frest Fruit, Tiramisu with espresso sauce, and Cannolis.

 The following awards will be presented at NOON on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the East Bank Club: Varsity Letter Awards, Freshman Numerals, Junior Varsity Letter Awards, Freshman MVP Award, Freshman RedHawk Award for Work Ethic, Sophomore MVP Award, Sophomore RedHawk Award for Work Ethic, Varsity MVP Award, Varsity RedHawk Award for Work Ethic, Varsity Points TROPHIES for Top 3 scorers for Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Athletes, Crystal Awards for ALL Seniors, TROPHIES for ALL members of the 2018 Marist Third place IHSA Sectional TEAM, and IHSA State Qualifying MEDALS.

ALL of the above athletes earned a VARSITY letter this season, by scoring in a Varsity meet.

Points Trophies for the Top 3 Varsity points scorers for each grade (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior) will be awarded at the June 3, 2018 Track and Field Banquet at the East Bank Club.

Marist also had Medalists in the 4x800m Relay, 4x200m Relay, 1600m, Long Jump, and 200m dash.
