Nationals 1-1 in DQ
The Nationals defeated the Fredericton V-Reds 2-1 in game 2 of the West Kent DQ Tournament. In game 1 the Nationals went down to the Halifax Boston Pizza 2-1. Play continues Saturday at 4:15 against PEI’s Western Wind.
Nationals Drop Puck at Sea Dogs Game
The Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL celebrated female hockey on November 30th honouring the Fundy Nationals at centre ice. Prior to the start of the game against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, the Nationals were introduced and team captain Katelynn Nice dropped the puck to kickoff the game. Cory Murray was awarded “Fan of the Game” for his energetic cheering and passion for the Sea Dogs.
Nationals Secure Spot in GT Semis
The Nationals defeated the Antigonish Bulldogs in the 3rd game of the round robin at the Grant Thornton Sherwood Parkdale Early Bird tournament.
The win secured the Nationals a spot in the semi-finals on Sunday against the Dartmouth Whalers. Game time 1pm at the CARI Centre – McLaughlin A rink. Many thanks to the Hericanes for coming out to cheer on the Nationals. It made a difference.
Nationals Record First Win
at the Grant Thornton Sherwood Parkdale Rural Minor Hockey Association tournament. Madison Murray opened the scoring in the second period followed by a second goal (2 1/2 minutes later) off the stick of Emily Graham. Netminder Ashley MacLean only allowed one goal in the game which came in the 3rd period.
The Nationals face the Avery Valley Wild next at 8:30pm at the CARI Centre – UPEI.
